PublicationArticle Amperometric determination of calcium as selenite(Springer-Verlag, 1965) G.S. Deshmukh; O.P. Asthana; P.A. RajanAn amperometric titration of calcium with selenite is described. Barium, strontium, and other cations forming insoluble selenites interfere, but magnesium does not. The method is rapid and suitable for routine analysis, the error being less than 10 parts per 1000 over the range 50 to 70 mg of calcium. © 1965 Springer-Verlag.PublicationArticle Amperometric determination of thorium as selenite(Springer-Verlag, 1962) G.S. Deshmukh; O.P. AsthanaAmperometric titration of thorium as selenite in a base electrolyte consisting of 0.9 M ammonium acetate in 60-70 per cent alcohol (p h 6.2-6.4) has been described. The titration is carried out at -1.0 V vs. S.C.E. A reversed L-type of curve is obtained and the formation of a normal selenite is suggested. The accuracy of the procedure is comparable with that obtained with other classical methods. © 1962 Springer-Verlag.PublicationArticle Amperometric determination of vanadium as vanadyl selenite(Springer-Verlag, 1962) G.S. Deshmukh; O.P. Asthana; V.S.N. PillaiAn amperometric titration procedure for the determination of vanadium as selenite in 0.044 M ammonium acetate and 50-55 per cent alcohol at a pH between 5.3-5.5 has been described. The titration is carried out at -1.10 V versus S.C.E. A V-shaped curve is obtained. The molar ratio of Se:V (1:1) supports the formation of a normal selenite VOSeO3. © 1962 Springer-Verlag.PublicationArticle Polarggraphic behaviour of selenium (IV)(Springer-Verlag, 1961) G.S.
