It has been postulated to facilitate reproduction at several levels and is traditionally considered as a female hormone. Within male reproductive tract, the presence of OT was demonstrated in the testes, epididymis and prostrate. Thus the aim of this study was to elucidate the role of OT in spermatogenic and steroidogenic activities in the testes of mice.Project Report Genetic diversity and phylogenetic analyses of cyanobacteria based on nif K, psb A and ntcA conserved sequences(Department of Botany, 2012-09-01) Mishra, A KProject Report Germplasm Conservation of Couroupita guianensis and Spondias mangifera through Tissue Culture(Department of Botany, 2012-07-01) Kumari, NishiProject Report Horizontal Excavations of Pre NBPW and NBPW Levels at Agiabir, District Mirzapur and Explorations in the Adjoining Areas(Centre of Advanced Study, Department of AIHC & Archaeology, 2015) Singh, Ashok KumarThe archaeological excavations at Agiabir, District- Mirzapur was conducted in the year 2015, 2016 and 2018 by the permission of the Archaeological Survey of India, Government of India, New Delhi under the Major Research Project grant approved by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. The main objective of the project was as follows: i) To know the cultural sequence and detailed material remains of Agiabir, Dist. Mirzapur. ii) To trace the other satellite settlements around Agiabir through vigorous explorations. iii) To know the importance of Agiabir in the archaeology of middle Ganga plain. The horizontal excavation was conducted on the Mound-1 and 2 at Agiabir to obtain a complete culture-sequence of the site in different localities and to trace the pre-Chalcolithic deposit. It was confined in two localities of the mound to know the material remains of Pre NBPW and NBPW levels. Mention may be made that a few cord impressed pottery along with two polished stone celts have been recovered from the surface of Mound -1 during exploration of the site in 2014 which indicates the pre-Chalcolithic affinity on this site.Project Report Identification of Co-Scholastic Assessment Practice and Suggestions for their Uniformity in CBSE Schools of Varanasi(Faculty of Education, BHU, 2015-07-01) Bajpai, AnjaliProject Report Impact of financial literacy and financial stress on wellbeing: A study of handicraft workers of Varanasi region(Institute of Management Studies, 2015) Chakraborty, AninditaThe field of personal finance is better reflected in recent years in specialised research, i.e. financial education. The principle idea is that without passable knowledge and skills one cannot effectively manage his or her finances, particularly in this dynamic and complex economic environment. However, besides education, there are other aspects that came out from the literature, which appears to have particular importance in the process of individual financial decision. Therefore, personal finance and financial education plays a vital role in an individual’s life and thus are essential topics. The financial education movement proliferated in the mid- to late-1990s in response to financial sector reforms in many countries, and thus attention needs to be placed in the context of the state-of-the-art research, from which future research can come into sight. The financial decision-making process is complicated in the case of individuals and households and may get influenced by various factors. With financial products becoming more and more complex; growing role of technology in the financial sector; shifting of employers attention from traditional pension plans to market linked plans have created apprehension in the mind of policymakers regarding the precautionary measures taken by the financial institutions and lack of financially educated people. Thus the need for improved education in the field of personal finance is felt and large number of nationally representative organisations in India and worldwide to promote financial education were established to promote financial education. Financial decisions are a part of everyday life – whether looking for ways to save, deciding which credit card represents the best value, choosing a home loan, comparing insurance policies or planning for retirement. Whatever the decision, being confident and informed can make a difference to the financial wellbeing and peace of mind of an individual and a household. For taking better financial decisions, one needs to have some financial knowledge, or he/she should be financially literate. Therefore, financial literacy is the capability to of an individual to understand how to use money in the real world. It deals with how people manage to earn or make it, how they manage it, how they invest it and how they help others by donating it. In absence of financial literacy one can end-up by making poor financial decisions, and that can affect their financial wellbeing. Therefore, with raising interest in personal finance in countries like Australia, Japan, the United States, UK and India it is now necessary to focus on state-run programs to protect the people from any type of financial mis happenings and this can only be done by properly educating them.Project Report Ion Exchange Voltammetry as a versatile technique for selective determination of target analytes using novel organic polymers and functionalized clay materials(Department of Chemistry, 2013-03-12) Ganesan, VProject Report Modulation of Nitric Oxide synthases and induction of apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma by fiestin(Department of Zoology, 2012-07-01) Trigun, S KFiestin, a natural flavanol, found in many common fruits and vegetables, was evident to modulate tumor growth associated signaling cascade in HCC cells in vivo and thus provided a cellular and molecular basis of anti cancer activity of this compound. Thus, this outcome provides a base line data to (a) evaluate translational feasibility of fisetin as an effective anti-HCC therapy and (b) advocates fruits and vegetable rich diet to prevent development of HCC and other tumor growth in human subjects.Project Report A novel study of nanolayered tunable optical filter based on Photonic band gap materials with various applications(Department of Physics, 2012-07-01) Srivastava, Sanjay KumarProject Report Preparation and Characterization of Nano-Composite Polymer Electrolytes for Device Applications(Department of Physics, 2015-07-01) Gupta, Prem NarainDifferent series of new Polymer electrolytes have been prepared using solution casting technique. But they also create disease, crime, pollution, poverty and social unrest. Never before in history has the world witnessed such a rapid growth of urbanization. No doubt migration is largely responsible. This applies equally to India. We have already added 65 million persons to our urban population in the decade of the '90s alone. We are having nearly fifty per cent of India living in our cities by the beginning of this century. The lack of substantial new investments mean that existing infrastructure is outdated, inefficient and highly stressed, leading to high degrees of unaccounted supply for water and poor sanitation. Limited metering and efficiency incentives, unviable pricing (does not even cover O&M costs), poor revenue recovery rates, high unfulfilled investment needs lead to inadequate service coverage; unreliable and poor quality service provision. Commercially unviable urban local bodies mean that fresh investments by external agencies and the private sector will not be forthcoming. Keeping this in view the United Progressive Alliance (U.P.A.) Government launched Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) in 2005. The programme is based on the premise that for cities to work, it is essential to create incentives and support urban reforms at the city level, develop appropriate enabling frameworks, enhances the creditworthiness of municipal governments and integrates service delivery system.Project Report Studies on haemolymph and its modulation by entomopathogenic fungi in an insect pest, Dysdercus koenigii (Heteropteran:Pyrrhocoridae)(Department of Zoology, 2013) Kumar, DineshProject Report Studies on heamolymph and its modulation by entomophathogenic fungi in an insect pest, Dysdercus koinigi (Heteroptera - Pyrrhocoridae)(Department of Zoology, 2013) Kumar, D
