Spondylo epiphyseal dysplasia tarda

Abstract

Clinical and radiological features of two cases of spondylo epiphyseal dysplasia tarda are reported. Commonest manifestation of this dysplasia is precocious degenerative arthritis. Value of spine film showing universal spondyly in such cases is stressed to arrive at a correct diagnosis. In view of its familial incidence, other family members should be identified by clinical and X ray methods and proper advice given. Differential diagnosis from dysplasia epiphysalis multiplex tarda is discussed. Brief review of the literature is given.
