Title: On the Mechanism of F.C.C. → H.C.P. Transformation
Abstract
Electron microscopic studies of thermally induced f.c.c. to h.c.p. transformation in Co–5% Fe alloys are interpreted in favour of the fault agglomeration model. Little or no evidence is found for the role of grain boundaries in this transformation. An earlier model based on grain boundary dislocations is shown to suffer from severe crystallographic limitations. Copyright © 1982 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA
