Fresh water chytrids from Varanasi (India). III. Some new records

Abstract

Rhizidium varians, R. elongatum, Rhizidium sp. and Rhizophydium apiculatum are reported for the first time from India. Morphological variation in the species are noted, along with taxonomic problems in identification of some of these forms.
