Photoresponses of chlorophyll Photoelectrochemical Solar Cell have been studied at different temperatures. Observed decrease in the photovoltage/ photocurrent has been attributed to the decrease in the population of the excited state of chlorophyll at high temperature. Nature of the variation of the photoresponse has been explained in terms of a theoretical model in which the photoinduced charge transfer responsible for the photovoltage/photocurrent is supposed to take place between the triplet excited state of chlorophyll and oxidised energy levels of the electrolyte. © 1987.
