dc.description.abstractThe reactions of titanium and ziroconium tetrahalides with isonicotinic acid hydrazide (INH), acetyl isonicotinic acid hydrazide (AINH), and benzoyl isonicotinic acid hydrazide (BINH) have been carried out under anhydrous conditions. The complexes MF4·INH, 2MF4·AINH, 2MF4·BINH, TiCl2(INHH)2, ZrCl3(INH:H)·2THF, ZrCl3(INHH), MCl2(AINH-2H) and MCl2(BINH-2H), (where M=Ti or Zr) have been isolated and their i.r. spectra in 4000-200 cm-1 region studied. © 1975.
