| dc.description.abstract | Topical application of 10% cholesterol in petrolatum significantly (P < 0.05) controlled the development of ichthyosis in 62 patients taking 100 mg clofazimine daily for a period of 3 months. However, topical cholesterol application did not affect the lowering of serum cholesterol induced by oral clofazimine. Probable mechanism of action is being discussed. | |
