The results of conductance measurements of monochloroacetic, dichloroacetic, trichloroacetic, trifluoroacetic, p-chlorophenoxyacetic, 2-(p-chlo o-bromobenzoic and o-nitrobenzoic acids in propylene carbonate are reported. The observed conductance behaviour of these acids in propylene car -), homoconjugation (HA + A → HA2-) and dimerization (2HA → (HA)2) equilibria. The existence of dimers was found only in the ca Values of the constants of dissociation KHA, homoconjugation KHA and dimerization Kd have been obtained for these a. © 1992.
