Title: Internal Herniation of the Small Bowel after Gastro‐Enterostomy
Abstract
Herniation of the small bowel through the ring formed after posterior retrocolic gastro‐enterostomy is a possible cause of acute bowel obstruction. Although this well‐recognized complication of gastro‐enterostomy is rarely encountered, the possibility of its presence must be borne in mind if the clinical condition of the patient suggests small‐bowel obstruction following gastric surgery.
