Complexes of some pyridine N-oxides and chloroanilines with cadmium(II) halides

Abstract

The complexes formed by pyridine N-oxide, 2-, 3-, 4-methyl, 4-cyano and 2,6-dimethyl pyridine N-oxides and ortho-, meta- and para-chloroanilines with cadmium(II) chloride, bromide and iodide have been prepared. These complexes have been examined spectroscopically in the solid state and the possible structures discussed. Allocations for the possible CdO and CdN modes have also been made. © 1970.
