dc.description.abstractNine patients with fulminating amebic colitis who were treated surgically from 1975 to 1982 are presented. Only those who had bowel resections with exteriorization of the cut ends survived. The pertinent literature is reviewed briefly. © 1986 American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
