An Overview of Industry 4.0 Applications in the Area of Nanotechnology

Abstract

Nanotechnology has revolutionized industries worldwide, far beyond its name. This review provides a comprehensive overview of nanotechnology applications in various contemporary industries, using the latest information from major scientific conferences. The findings reveal that nanotechnology is not limited to laboratories or small nanomedicine facilities. Instead, it has penetrated deeply into industries around the world. Companies are integrating nanotechnology to improve efficiency, design, manufacturing processes, and performance of their new products. From small-scale industries such as agriculture, food, and pharmaceuticals to large industries such as automotive, civil engineering, and environmental sectors, nanotechnology has modernized virtually every technology worldwide.
