Abstract

Professional development (PD) implies the overall and systematic development of employees. It is a method to procure current knowledge and skills. In this digital environment, it becomes more crucial that LIS professionals should be professionally developed. Professional development is one of the elements which affects job satisfaction of employees. It is imperative for LIS professionals as it increases their level of satisfaction and improves their performance. LIS professionals must participate in professional development activities that have a positive impact on job satisfaction.
