| dc.description.abstract | Ambati et al. (2017) proposed an estimator for estimating the unknown coefficient of dispersion under simple random sampling without replacement case. Erroneously, the mean squared error (MSE) expression obtained by Ambati et al. (2017) was incorrect. In this paper, we have obtained correct expression of the MSE of the estimators proposed by Ambati et al. (2017). A simulation study is carried out to demonstrate the theoretical results empirically. © 2019 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. | |
