Cerimetric determination of metals forming pyridine thiocyanate complexes

Abstract

A new procedure for the quantitative determination of Cu, Co, Ni and Cd has been described. It is based on the precipitation of the metals as pyridine thiocyanate complexes and titrating the excess thiocyanate with ceric sulphate using dead stop end point method or the usual visual end point method with vigorous stirring. © 1963 Springer-Verlag.
