Future challenges in agricultural water management

Abstract

Agriculture is the prime industry essential for the survival of human beings. It requires enormous water resources to improve productivity. The huge and unorganised use of water resources poses a threat of scarcity of water in many regions of the Earth. The scarcity of water resources also plays a very significant role in climate change. Thus, the management of water in agriculture sector is very vital and needs attention immediately.
