Abstract

A field experiment was carried out during 2000 and 2001 on population trend of two-spotted spider mite, (Tetranychus urticae Koch), on french marigold (Tagetes patula L.). The population was observed throughout the year. Two peaks of population (180 and 188) were found in November in both the years and lowest populations (8 and 6) were observed in March. In general, similar population trend was observed in the both years. Increase in population was associated with moderate temperature and moderate relative humidity. Relative humidity and temperature appeared to be a regulatory factor for population trend of this mite.
