Abstract

Fiestin, a natural flavanol, found in many common fruits and vegetables, was evident to modulate tumor growth associated signaling cascade in HCC cells in vivo and thus provided a cellular and molecular basis of anti cancer activity of this compound. Thus, this outcome provides a base line data to (a) evaluate translational feasibility of fisetin as an effective anti-HCC therapy and (b) advocates fruits and vegetable rich diet to prevent development of HCC and other tumor growth in human subjects.
