    College of Nursing, IMS, BHU is one of the leading Nursing College in the Purvanchal region in the State of Uttar Pradesh, is approved by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and UP Nurses and Midwives Council under the aegis of Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty, Lucknow. The College of Nursing is located within the University Campus. The College of Nursing was inaugurated on 31st July,2009 after the up gradation of the existing School of Nursing under the aegis of the Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Medical Sciences with an annual intake of 60 students. It is a pioneer Nursing College preparing highly skilled professional nurses who can function at various levels in the health care tem of our country and abroad. In order to keep in pace with the dynamic changes in the Health care Sector and to meet the demands of the various departments of specialities and super specialities of ever-expanding Hospitals, the college believes in imparting high level of Nursing Education to students. Emphasis is also laid on all- round development of personality with passion to serve suffering humanity. During the course the students undergo theory and practical classes along with Clinical experience, according with the syllabus prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council. For providing Clinical experience the college is attached to Sir Sunderlal Hospital, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU. The students go to the Urban & Rural Health Training Centres for Community Health Nursing experience.
